I was with this film until the very last scene, which was kind of odd ideologically. I remember I had a conversation with a girl about this film before it came out and she said it seemed sexist, but it actually ended up being less about gender roles and mostly just about people wanting someone who represents an idea rather than an actual person. Don't really see too many films discussing this territory which is probably the reason why the film seemed to run out of ideas like 3/4 of the way through. Anyway, would smash Ruby.

Went in expecting something profound, didn't really get that, but still emotionally engaging enough to be a pretty impressive story. And obviously the entire world the film was set in was cool as fuck.
