Have just watched Bright - it's a Netflix only film. But.
It's an odd couple cop comedy procedural placed in a 'modern' LA where there are at least three races - Orcs, Humans and Elves. It is heavily metaphorical. Thor: Ragnarok 2017
This is a very, very funny film.
Opinion elsewhere seems to be divided over how 'good' it is, with some critics claiming that character and plot were sacrificed to the funny.

A Most Violent Year 2014
An odd film this; meditative and distant as if shot thickly through cigarette smoke, which curls around and through much of it. The whole thing is nicotine-coloured with a few sharp silhouettes from the eighties cutting through; it's supposed to be set in 1981 when the violence and decay in New York was at its peak.

Actually, I watched this over two days. It is dense with words and politics and not the sort of thing you digest quickly before bed. It is difficult and I will probably need to see it again.
