A giant ham fest that is complete eye candy with a great soundtrack. It stars Kurt Russel's sneer, Kevin Costner's sideburns and leather pants, and Courtney Cox's ass.

I love this movie so very much. If only for Arnold doing Hamlet. For many other reasons as well.

This film marks a milestone in multiple careers. Nicholas Cage had yet spiraled into the do anything actor he has become and Michael Bay hadn't had his head surgically implanted into his own ass.

The Rock is a fun, really well made, action spectacle with great performances, fun set pieces and is endlessly quotable. It's one of those movies that came out at the very height of my film nerdom and as such has been watched dozens of times and every beat and shot and line is engrained in my brain.

"What kind of fucked up tour is this!?"

Jaws is up there as one of my all time favourite movies. It was a treat my young self would get to watch on tv with my mom on those late weekend nights. Even edited for television Jaws scared the crap out of me. As I grew older and got to appreciate the filmmaking talent behind it I began to love it even more.

It's one of those films that is always in rotation and never gets old.
