Awkward, poorly acted, mediocrely SFXed, and actually kinda dull. I like the idea of a simple movie where archetypes interact with a limited/symbolic environment, this just wasn't a particularly well-executed version of that.

A lot of the dialog/plot has a certain "don't think too hard about this" quality that galls upon repeated viewings. However, thematically it's pretty great, acting's good, visuals spectacular, nailed the landing, and huge points for sheer ambition.

(Sidenote: I was impressed with Tom Hardy's voice acting but disappointed by the sound editing. Bane vacillates between too clear & too muffled.)

Well-made and kept my attention but not a lot of groundbreaking stuff there. Also, I'm a little worried that Trent Reznor is only capable of making one great film soundtrack (over and over again).
