The Great Mouse Detective 1986
Either The Great Mouse Detective or The Rescuers were my very first movie I've seen in a theater (I can't remember). But anyway, I absolutely love and adore this movie and must've seen it by now at least two dozen times.

The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford 2007
I just saw "The Assassination of Jesse James by the Coward Robert Ford" the first time and immediately fell in love with it. There's nothing which isn't brilliant about the film: The actors (especially Casey Affleck), the script, the score and the director. The Cinematography by Roger Deakins is absolutely breathtaking and every shot is deeply poetic.

Hunger 2008
i can't believe "hunger" is steve mcqueen's debut film. really, i can't. "hunger" is one of the rare films, who is haunting from the very first minute. the film is thought-provoking, the cinematography is marvellous and the directing is just stunning. in fact, the scene where michael fassbender talks to liam cunningham is the most beautiful played and shot scene i've seen in a very long time. speaking of which - michael fassbender's perfomance is literally breathtaking. i think it's safe to say that he's hands down the best actor around.
