The Illusionist 2010

Len Fearnside’s review:
An animated French film, with barely any dialogue, about an out of work French illusionist who ends up with a young Scottish girl following him around. This is a very charming little movie, with some very nice animation and it does a good job of conveying emotion with very little dialogue. I'm not a huge animated movie guy and I find it hard to attach to cartoons, so the more sombre moments did not really hit as much as they probably intended, but this was pretty effective and kept me interested throughout the 80 minute run time and the animation was cool. Was nominated for best animated feature in 2011, but lost to Toy Story 3.
You mean Toy Story 3? :P
Oh whoops! Don't really follow that series, so forgot where they were at. :D
The TS movies are fine, but just like most pixar movies.. they are very overrated.
Yep, that does indeed seem to be the case. I do like some of their films quite a bit, but I don't really think any of them are all that amazing.
