In general, this isn't my kind of movie. It's a story of a man forced to connect with his estranged father. It's a real story, but it's also full of cliches. Another problem it faced is it was written by a writer about becoming a writer. It's hard to not be pretentious when that's your theme. The irony is that it's about a self-important failed writer, and it's script is overly self-important and not well written.
