While having the potential to be unbelievably obnoxious, or at least that's how i felt the first time i saw it, this second viewing was completely different. Everything that annoyed me about it the first time seemed minor and unimportant. Sure, the title character is immature and irritating at times, but she's supposed to be: she's 16. The adult characters, which with time i've discovered is Diablo Cody's true talent, are the real centerpiece for the film. Jennifer Garner's performance is incredibly moving, and that moment when she finally meets her new born son is absolutely beautiful.
Just watched it for the second time and feel the same.
