Minecraft: The Story of Mojang 2012
Really interesting documentary about something very current. It seems to give a very honest portrayal of what happened around the the creation, development and launch of this game.
As someone who is interested in indie games, it's great to see something so vastly different becoming a somewhat mainstream success. I think it marks a point in history where gaming is starting to become self aware, shaking off the shackles of the corporate giants and paving a new way for the world to experience games.
2player did a great job with the editing, the pacing and the content of the film. I'd thoroughly recommend it.

Sound City 2013
I was thoroughly impressed with this film. I am always a sucker for anything about musicians, recording studios and films that have a lot of really cool people—Josh Homme, Dave Grohl, Trent Reznor, Tom Petty—who I love being interviewed.
It's nicely shot, well edited and there is some pretty good sense of narrative to it. It dropped a little in the middle where it got quite repetitive as it continued showing examples of the various bands who had played an…

Synecdoche, New York 2008
This film is, as with most things associated with Charlie Kaufman, an absolute mind fuck. There were parts that disturbed me, there were parts that I did not understand but there were also parts that just had me in awe of the man's genius.
This film is not one for you to casually throw on. It will be a lot of work to watch and once is not enough. I feel this is the perfect desert island film because you could watch it forever and still not be 100% sure of what's going on.
