An epic, brilliant way to re-establish the franchise for a new generation. Definitely helped that the original writer/director, George Miller, came back and handled this property appropriately. It's nice to see directors take action to ensure studios don't screw up their property for the easy money. Ridley Scott comes to mind as he is returning to Blade Runner so WB doesn't go out of its way to screw up his masterpiece with some poorly conceived reboot (I'm looking at you, Total Recall...and most reboots)
Tom Hardy was the perfect casting choice...and I feel like he's the perfect casting choice for a lot of movies. Heck, if they made an Amelia Earhart movie and announced that he was cast as the lead...I would think that is perfect casting. He just needs to be in everything.
Charlize Theron is amazing as usual. I need to stop watching this when I'm trying to accomplish things. I go to get off the couch and start on something and I slowly go back to sitting down or I'm just doing the lean back and staring at the screen.
My opinion: Sit down. Don't move. Enjoy the ride.
