Another documentary from the director of Hoop Dreams. Holy shit. Real life can be really fucked up but amazing at the same time.
Film of the year (that year). The twist was breathtakingly well executed, the entire cinema gasped in unison. Subtle and incredibly moving.
Pretty hard to fault. Excellent performances across the board and Aaron Sorkin can write a hell of a screenplay. A little cheesy, but overall a well-handled sports film. Kind of like a grown-up version of Bad News Bears (the 1976 version).
I normally hate Hugh Jackman with a passion, but his performance in this was stunningly good.
