bitty, there were some funny moments, but i'm 39, and i guess this is best watched when you are 19;)

i really disliked the distinct lack of subtlety in this one, as if complexity can only be derived from turning a movie into a Rubiks cube. Lacks humanity and character depth, a real missed opportunity.

although i got the story half way through this was hugely enjoyable. Felt more like Kubrick than Scorcese, and De Caprio is getting better and better, shades of Jack Nicholson about some of his mannerisms. The story was ultimately a bit overblown but boy did the almost pull it off.
