A thoughtful but bland attempt. Showcasing a decent performance from the cast. The movie is well made but lacks the sort of depth or emotion one expects from this type of movie.

My second attempt to watch this paid off, the first one went by me sleeping nearly 10 minutes into the movie.

After watching this I was like "WOW". It is a very heart warming rom-com, one of the better ones I have seen for some time. What highlights this, is the assembled cast and their performance. Even though the movie works its way through a predictable plot, it works in their favor as we find ourselves wishing the movie climaxes as we hope.

I just had to write a brief review for this. And guess what Lawrence gets her first oscar. Job well done.

    No 26 - Top 100 favorite movies

I have been re-watching my all time favorites and make no doubt this is one of them.

David Fincher does an amazing job with this thriller. I mean he did an extra-ordinary job directing this. The setting, the mood and the music are spot on. You get a feeling that something bad and ugly is destined to happen from the very start of the movie. The cinematography is great too, the close ups…

Jules : Say "what" again. Say "what" again. I dare you. I double-dare you, motherfucker. Say "what" one more goddamn time

Me : That was pretty fucking trippy...

So, I watched this again. And surprisingly it feels a bit better than the first time I watched it.

The well crafted plot, the impressive acting, amazing direction and a perfect sound track makes this one of my favorite bond movie ever.

I absolutely love the way the plot moves on, not too slow, not too fast. A near perfect blend of action and drama. Bardem gives an absolute stunning performance as the calm but dramatic Silva. One cannot review…

  • The Thing 1982

    ★★★½ Watched 04 Feb, 2013

First things first - I'm not a horror fan. I really don't like watching them.

Now to the point, I'm having a really hard time rating this movie. I'm not quite sure what I feel. Its interesting and thrilling but I didn't enjoy it a lot. Even though movie feels realistic and the actors did a great job, it never really made an impression on me. I felt disconnected from it.

Maybe after a few years, I will give it another go.

  • Flight 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 04 Feb, 2013

After watching the movie, you have to give an applause for a great performance by Mr. Washington. I wasn't expecting anything less from him.

Now about the movie. Its a decent movie, that has a couple of amazing performances. John Goodman was great with his hilarious portrayal of Harling. Also the casting was pretty spot on.

The movie has some stand out scenes but that's about it. It doesn't come out as the way you would have hoped. It isn't anywhere near amazing or spectacular, It predictable all the way through.

A movie you wouldn't mind watching once in the theater.

" I am the Nightrider. I'm a fuel injected suicide machine. I am the rocker, I am the roller, I am the out-of-controller! " - The Nightrider

Not something you would enjoy a lot watching in 2013. But this does have some cool dialogues.
