(I need to stop watching movies that are on TV. Note to self: they're all bad!!)
So yes. This movie is laughable in every regard. The worst offender, however, in the film's score. On top of being absolutely over the top melodramatic, it was extremely intrusive to the point that you sometimes could barely make out the dialogue over the "background music". I've almost turned movies off for many reasons, but NEVER have I ever considered turning one off because the score was so distracting. Whoever scored this movie must have cotton balls stuffed in their ears, holy cow.
