I have a feeling that this is the sort of movie that should be seen in the theatres. It was really good. I watched the director's cut and it ranf or 3 hours. Some scenes I could just do without but overall the acting was decent. Not sure if it's something I'd watch over and over.
Generally speaking, my favorite films tend to be those that center around the complexity of humanity, psychologically, socially, or spiritually. This movie manages to hit all three blissfully.
