Man, it pisses me off so much that the best quality I have to see the original cut in is a DVD from ages ago. The re-edit just is not any good whatsoever... Like, did the director REALLY have to put in the "In the near future..." text and all the cheap-looking comic book panels? The futuristic setting and comic feel is already obvious by just watching the flick; you don't need all that other shit in there to spell it out, especially since the re-edit ruins the flow of the film.
1979 theatrical cut, not that 2005 shitbeans edit. The original movie NEEDS to be on Blu-ray.
Hell yeah! One of my favorite films of all time. Why isn't the far superior theatrical version not on Blu-ray??
