As sad and depressing as this movie was to watch, it was Tilda Swinton's performance which kept me watching. You know from early on that Kevin is responsible for some horribly act but it's watching his mom deal with this horrible child and the aftermath that keeps you engaged throughout. Let's face it, after The Drak Knight, there's no way Nolan was going to top that. Dark Knight Rises is good but not great or even near Dark Knight or even Batman Begins frankly.
