Hysterical absurdist imagery.

Hilarious. Makes good reference material for anyone arguing against the validity of academic art analysis.

First time I tried watching this movie I had to stop it about 15 minutes in, just to go grab somebody else and sit them down in front of the TV to make sure I wasn't hallucinating this film.

On my most recent rewatch, among the many incredible and seemingly perfect aspects of this film (cinematography, acting, editing, etc), the writing stood out for me this time. Every scene is driven by the words spoken...and the silence inbetween. I wonder which part of a Bergman film I will admire and cherish next time?
