This movie makes so much sense now that I live in Utah (it takes place in Idaho, but it's effectively a movie about Mormons). I didn't get it all to begin with (and I didn't like it). But seven years living in Utah has changed my mind a bit. Some of the characters still suck, but overall, it's not that bad.
