''No one appreciates showmanship more than Messr. Calvin J. Candie.''

It is my belief that every cinema lover is bound to go through a stage of Tarantino fandom. Personally, I have been through mine, I remember watching 'Pulp Fiction' five times a week and going through the entire screenplay of 'Reservoir Dogs' in my head on a daily basis, I remember being unfathomably excited for 'Inglorious Basterds' and being absolutely thrilled when it lived up to all my wildest expectations.…

Bruce Banner: I don't think we should be focusing on Loki. That guy's brain is a bag full of cats. You can smell crazy on him.
Thor: Have a care how you speak! Loki is beyond reason, but he is of Asgard and he is my brother!
Natasha Romanoff: He killed eighty people in two days.
    Thor: He's adopted.

To say I had absolutely no interest in seeing 'The Avengers' upon its release would be putting mildly. Sure, I'm no…

Bruce Wayne: Why didn't you just... kill me?
Bane: You don't fear death... You welcome it. Your punishment must be more severe.

Film #14 of The December Project

From the years 1995 till 2004, Batman was a joke. This was thanks to film director and former window dresser Joel Schumacher, whose heartless approach to this beloved icon damn near destroyed his reputation in the public eye. In 2005, Christopher Nolan changed all that when he made 'Batman Begins', thanks to…

Sévérine: How much do you know about fear?
    James Bond: All there is.
Sévérine: Well, not like this... Not like him...

Before I begin this review, I must state I am not a James Bond fan per se, I have seen about four Bond fims I can think of off the top of my head, two of those are the previous Daniel Craig ones. After hearing the amazing buzz 'Skyfall' recieved and seeing it was helmed by a great filmmaker…

Film #20 of The December Project

Rian Johnson's 'Looper' has turned out to be one of the most popular films of 2012. I really did not have much interest in the film, seeing as people have compared it to 'Inception', a film which I loathed, so I really did not think I would enjoy…

  • Prometheus 2012

    ★★★½ Watched 01 Oct, 2012

I had put off seeing Prometheus, I am a Huge fan Ridley Scott's original "Alien" and from what I heard, Prometheus seemed to be a disappointment.

Ive constantly seen this film referred to as a "Beautiful Mess" and I think that's probably the perfect way to sum it up. Prometheus features a overblown unintelligent script, unimaginative direction and no real good performances, with that being said, I still enjoyed it immensely!

Prometheus is judged largely on its script and storyline…

''I love you but you have no idea what you are talking about.'' - Sam

"Moonrise Kingdom" was my most anticipated film of 2012 and like always Wes Anderson did not let me down.

The film is beautiful, whimsical, Poetic, hilarious and heartfelt. A tale of young love and the obstacles it encounters. From the opening frame Anderson's presence is felt and appreciated as his articulate detail and beautiful Directorial is awe inspiring.

The Film is full of Terrific performances,…
