Liam Underwood’s review published on Letterboxd:
As I've seen the theatrical cut before - albeit a while ago - I decided to opt for the unrated version tonight. In my humble opinion no comedy should run longer than 100minutes, so at 130 Sex Drive really outstays its welcome. Still, there is a notice at the start of the film stating that this cut is for fans and you should probably stick with the theatrical version - so I probably should have expected a fair bit of nonsense.
To be fair, I found the idea behind this cut quite interesting. It's clear from the start that the directors aren't taking themselves (or the film) too seriously, and some of the newer recurring bits worked quite well. Admittedly a few fell flat too but still, the film wasn't exactly a masterpiece to begin with so no harm done.
Seth Green is still kinda awesome and Amanda Crew is still ace. Still don't think too much of the rest of the cast. Still a terribly average film.
