Let's get something straight first, I'm a Disney addict so the thought of 2 movies attempting the Snow White tale left a very sour taste in my mouth. I wanted to keep my image of Snow White Disney-fied and forget the rest. Once images and eventually a trailer from this film made the rounds I started to have a slight change of heart. Then I heard about Kristen Stewart playing Snow White and I was back where I started. My butt made it into a seat on visuals and Charlize Theron alone. While the film left a lot to be desired I was genuinely surprised by how much I enjoyed the final result. There is some stunning imagery(a lot of which is underused) and Coleen Atwood's costume were well worth my $8.00. It's not a movie for everyone and it certainly does play to the Twilight audience but for special effects geeks and fans of fairy tales, its one of the better adaptations to come out in some time.
