Jackie Brown 1997
One of my favorite Quentin Tarantino movies. It had me the second Across 110th Street came on and Jackie got on that moving walkway.

The Ides of March 2011
What a total waste of talent, and talk about anticlimactic! The big scandal was so tame, we see worse on the news practically every day! I love George Clooney as a director, so I was pretty excited about this one, but this is by far his worst effort yet. Did not deserve the Oscar nomination.

Killer Joe 2012
I didn't care for this one. Matthew McConaughey, Gina Gershon, and Juno Temple all gave excellent performances, but Emile Hirsch was so bad it actually made me wonder why I ever liked him in the first place. And Thomas Haden Church seemed like he wasn't even trying up until the last scene, which, aside from the one scene with the two women in the pizza place, was the highlight of the film.

TRON: Legacy 2010
I can not even explain to you how much I love this movie. Sure, the young digital Jeff Bridges face is disgusting and the plot is god awful, but it's seriously one of the most beautiful movies I've ever seen. The lightcycle scene and Kevin Flynn's hideout are like my new porn. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack! Daft Punk have created a thing of beauty with that one. So turn off your brain and just enjoy the eye/eargasms.

The Mist 2007
No one does Stephen King like Frank Darabont. He even included a nice little nod to The Dark Tower in the beginning of the film when you see Thomas Jane's character painting Roland and the Tower in a field of roses. You can tell he's a true fan.
The way he handles the story is excellent. The humans get so crazy and so primitive they make the monsters almost inconsequential. Marcia Gay Harden was just brilliant. I'd take the mist…
