This film was fantastic for a while, when they were telling the story in the 1960s. The story was so simple and because of that they focused on details, which led to tension and suspense. It was very tight. Then they went forward in the story and it all became very Hollywood and unhinged. It wasn't anywhere near as interesting or suspenseful. It became quite a chore, actually. Too bad. I wonder if the original is any better.
