After spending 8 hours trying to finish a 3-1/2 hour historical epic, I needed a quick fix of 100% pure mind numbing action, and Thor delivered. Sure, stuff happens too quickly. Thor comes to Earth for what seems like 10 minutes before he redeems himself and falls in love. Back home in what seems like another 10 minutes his brother goes all evil trying to destroy both Thor and an entire race on a different planet. But I never expect too much from the genre to start off with. Maybe I was too desperate to be critical, but Thor delivered exactly what I needed: an enjoyable 2 hours of action and adventure.
