It is fitting that one of Beethoven's greatest works, considered by some to be the greatest piece of music ever written, Ode to Joy, is the soundtrack one of the greatest action movies ever made. In my mind this piece of music will forever be associated with John McClane's everyman cop and Hans Gruber's exceptional thief.
