The Dark Knight 2008

John Jordan’s review:
"I don't want to kill you! What would I do without you? Go back to ripping off mob dealers? No, no, NO! No. You... you... complete me."
The second part of Chris Nolan's Batman Trilogy. The Dark Knight, Harvey Dent and Commissioner Gordon aim to take down the Mob, as the Joker emerges to reign chaos on Gotham City.
Ledger is brilliant as the crazed villain, putting a new spin on a classic character and becoming the embodiment of the film's theme of Escalation and Chaos.
The rise and fall of both Harvey Dent and Batman is epic. To date it is Nolan's Magnum Opus. A truly fantastic film.
"Because he's the hero Gotham deserves, but not the one it needs right now. So we'll hunt him. Because he can take it. Because he's not our hero. He's a silent guardian, a watchful protector. A Dark Knight."
Nice review! This film is a masterpiece in my opinion, and I can't wait for TDKR!
Cheers. Unlike my brother-in-law AdamMcA (who I invited to this site!) I love Heath Ledger's Joker!!
Bring on Bane!!
Apparently so! I didn't know the monster I was about to unleash on the world
@John Ah yes AdamMcA I've had many conversations with him on the joker. I've gathered he doesn't like this version. ; )
@Ron, He would rather see a pristine Joker with electric shock handshakes and acid squirting from a flower, which doesn't really suit the Nolanverse that these films are set in. I fear for what he is going to think of Bane in TDKR.
@John Yeah I fully expect him to hate it. I have no doubt I'll love it.
