Adam Cook’s review:
In the loosest possible sense, Lost City Raiders is Indiana Jone crossed with Waterworld with the hunt for a buried religious artefact and an Earth predominantly submerged under water. Whilst it is hardly a ringing endorsement this is actually one of the better Syfy TV-movies thanks to a slightly higher budget (although it’s still full of unconvincing CGI) and a plot, that whilst stupid, is slightly better than their normal natural disaster dross.
The film stars James Brolin (briefly) and that guy who died in season 1 of Lost. The acting is actually pretty solid for this type of fare and the plot rattles along at a reasonable pace too. I don’t want to oversell it as I’d never recommend it to anybody but it isn’t quite the crime against film I was expecting.
