What a chilling, atmospheric opening credits scene. Too bad it's all downhill from there, as the poorly laid-out story and one-note performances make the suspense grow stale fast. For another Hammer "girl in danger" thriller that's not great but still an improvement over this, hit up "Fear in the Night."
