I read the books and enjoyed them. The movie was really great, however for me, it was more of a hero film than the dark satire of the books. I love Hero films, but this in particular changed the mood indirectly, by adapting the storyline to be better suited for the screen. Lawrence was a good Katniss, but the main antagonist was more Snow, than Snow and the cliche Capitol. Don't get me wrong, fans of the books should enjoy the film. It covers a lot of ground and does so well. A good movie regardless.
