Visually well made, but it lacks the charisma of the previous three films. Penelope Cruz somehow always felt out of place, the plot was all over the place and the entire thing felt forced.
After the first introduction of the villain, I wondered why he hadn't shown up in the previous movies, as he seems to be a) notorious and b) powerful enough to be a match for Davy Jones and c) important enough to be at least a member of the brotherhood of priates.
