Fassbinder's made-for-TV two-part movie is the best sci-fi I've seen in a small eternity. Visually impressive (yes, mirrors), slow paced and deliberate. Refreshing to see sci-fi made by someone who obviously has no interest in technology or gadgets, but ideas. Today's sci-fi is made by filmmakers grown up on STAR WARS and BLADE RUNNER, and it all looks/feels the same. WORLD ON A WIRE is a good antidote for that. Wish Fassbinder had done more of this stuff.
