Maria’s review:
Carefully-paced movie set in the frenzy, noise and color of Cairo. The lush setting and gorgeous music are worthwhile in themselves. It's a deeply moving film about friendship and intimacy, in the hothouse of city that seems both antiquated and raw. The two leads are expressive and nuanced. I think a little more expansive cinematography and emotional resonance would have improved "Cairo Time," but even with a slightly slow pace, I'd recommend this film.
