Continuing on my Miyazaki kick, I watched this wonderful film for the first time since I was a young girl. The thing I love MOST about Kiki is that while she struggles with finding her identity as an independent young woman/witch while dealing with typical teenage woes, she remains sweet, innocent, and polite - no teen angst here! She's a great role model for every independent youngster!
As always, the animation is great, and the story is a whimsical, light-hearted adventure with plenty of "deeper issues" buried in the layers. A very fun film!
