Battle Los Angeles 2011
I never turn off movies partway through... like, ever. I fast-forwarded through most of this and then turned it off early. Utterly shite. Even the CG - which I had been promised was decent - was shit.

Never Let Me Go 2010
Quite gloomy. Hour.5 long bummer but it was quite nicely done and, I suppose, were you given to such things, it *might* make someone consider their mortality, the cost of comforts, etc...
Thankfully, I'm not very deep and just let the whole thing wash over me in a little wave of muted colors and grim expressions.

Hanna 2011
Really shit and laughable in parts (seemingly the bits where the Chems got too involved in direction and turned it into a music video in their standard block-rocking-beats-timed-to-visual-things way) but still managed to end up an enjoyable film.
Utterly evocative in parts - when she is wandering around in Morocco I was there.
Nicely paced, decently acted.

Cedar Rapids 2011
Seriously? Flat, boring, formulaic shite where there was so much potential.
Expected much more given some of the 'wild and crazy' times I've had at conferences. Writers should have consulted me first. -
The Secret World of Arrietty 2012
Charming and delightful if you're a little girl. Typical Ghibli stuff, really nicely done, really mellow and poignant.

Source Code 2011
This review reportedly contains spoilers. I can handle the truth.

X-Men: First Class 2011
Not that bad but yeah, not really worth watching. Kind of fun in parts if you like origin stories (which I do.)
Emma Frost adds 1/2 star to rating. -
Attack the Block 2011
The most exciting and enjoyable film I have watched in ages.Excellent.
