  • Gregory's Girl 1982

I love this film so much,it reminds me what it was like being a teenager. I remember watching it for the first time as a kid and falling in love with Clare Grogan. It's incredibly funny and sweet with some real laugh out moments. John Gordon Sinclair so charming as Gregory,a lanky kid who falls in love with the new girl who's now the star player in the football team. I love Gregory's mates who are desperate to get close…

Quite simply one of the most stupidly funny movies i've seen in a very long time. This movies beyond dumb,it's so crazy and inept you can't help but love it. It's full of WTF moments and insane dialogue. I loved the music,it's so wrong for a movie like this,it's superbly bad. The simple fact they gave the role of a 12 year old boy to a dwarf in his late twenties, gives you an insight into what your going to get.…

  • Magic 1978

Real fond memories of watching Magic as a kid,Fats the Dummy really freaked me out. A very young looking Hopkins is great as Corky the struggling Magician, with a unhealthy attachment to his ventriloquist dummy.

A dark and disturbing account of serial killer John Christie, wonderfully played by Richard Attenbourogh. Attenbourogh plays Christie with this calm exterior with a quiet spoken voice,he hardly seems threatening at all,let alone capable of murder. It's a real natural performance, and quite affective.

Christie used to pray on vulnerable women seeking a way to abort an unwanted pregnancy,a procedure that was illegal in the UK at the time. He would offer his services, claiming he had done this many times before during the…

This movie was so much fun to watch with a group of friends. It's a Henenlotter movie,so it's going to be trashy,it's a given,i just didn't expect it to be this trashy. I was rolling on the floor in hysterics at the last scene when our dashing's hero's giant mutant disembodied cock goes on a rampage. Sleazy trashy fun.

Love this film and adore the music. Andy Serkis is Ian Dury, seeing him play Dury on stage was like a flash back. I walked away with a true insight into the life of one of the true originals of New Wave/Punk.

  • The Incredible Melting Man 1977

    ★½ Rewatched 24 Mar, 2012 2

I watched this years ago back in my teens and i loved it. I couldn't get over seeing this guy melting away in front of your very eyes.I was glued to the screen. Re-watching it today and i really found it hard to focus on any of it. The FX are incredible when you consider when it was made and more importantly by whom. This was a early gig for legendary make-up artist Rick Baker. Apart from the make-up,there was very little to engage me this time round. It was very slow and tedious to sit through.

  • The Last Broadcast 1998

This was really working for me up until the last 20 minutes. Then it took a complete nose dive into a pile of crap. Shame really because this was turning out to be a very cool little flick with bags of promise.

Amazing concert footage from a band in their prime. Watching "Since I've Been Loving You" sent shivers down my spine. It's a real shame they didn't just have the concert footage throughout entire movie, and remove those bizarre fantasy sequences for each member of the band. I must say, they do become far more enjoyable after the umpteenth watch and i don't mind them now half as much as i did.
