Matthew Allen’s review:
I pretty much saw the vision of Chistopher Nolan's portrait of a man going through 3 stages of adult life - come to life. As is true to a mans life, Batmans life in this case is portrayed in the twilight years. How do you follow up a film like The Dark Knight? You don't try to out do it. That mistake was not made with this film. It's a journey, a well crafted journey, with plenty of action as the Dark Knight rises. But the character that was the hero who was such an icon became a bit dire for me rubbing the gloss off the whole thing. Maybe that's how I am supposed to feel.
