Although I have never read Captain America, my expectations were high with all the hype around the Avengers, etc. The overall picture was decent, however I didn't like the way it ended. As much as I understand Marvel trying to hook viewers into The Avengers, there had to have been a better way to close this movie in a manner that made it a stand alone story. Any Joe who has no knowledge of the Marvel Universe would be like "What kind of an ending was that?". Tying all these movies together is fine, and this was accomplished with stand alone stories in Iron Man, Hulk and Thor with more than enough teasing towards the big picture without leaving the viewer hanging. This ending really should have been tagged onto the beginning of Avengers. Just my 2 cents.
