Bottle Rocket 1996 ★★★★½

Watched Aug 05, 2011

Wes Anderson’s charm, wit and ear for music are every bit as evident here as in his later films, but this shares (with Rushmore) an innocence and lightness of touch that appear to have diminished somewhat in his more recent work. The Wilson brothers are so natural and understated that it’s hard to believe this was their first feature. Dry, funny and immensely likeable.
