Eech. Wanted to love it. Really I did. I chuckled at the comedy pieces, but it was the kind of chuckle I did when my dad makes a joke. I gasped at the action pieces, but it was the kind of gasp I make when I get up a bit too quickly. I 'awwww'd' at the romantic moments, but it was similar to the aww I make when I see a dead deer at the side of the road.
In the same vein as the first Pirates of the Caribbean, this is a pretty fun film as long as you come to expecting a bit nonsense.

Hard to believe this is now 17 years old and it still feels as fresh as when it was released and became a phenomenon.
The excellent cast work beautifully together to create a crowd of ill gotten, unlikeable characters that still manage to charm.
I still don't fancy taking drugs though.
It seems like a lot of folks at saying 'ach it's alright not great but.' To which I say, 1) sort your grammar out and 2) don't be daft this film is bloody marvellous.
I know animations are supposed to have an appeal to adults as well as children these days and folks seem top think that this is lacking in wreck-it. Don't get it myself I mean one character has gaming's darkest back story for goodness sake!
