Event Horizon 1997

Stuart Barr’s review:
Proof that event the worst directors have at least one good film in them. Actually that is unfair, the much maligned Paul WS Anderson can direct, but can't tell a decent script from a terrible one it is too enamoured with video game stylistics.
Event Horizon is the exception in his filmography, essentially a ghost story set in space. A good cast deliver occasionally cheesy lines with conviction (especially Jason Issacs), and the production design is absolutely fantastic.
There is a nagging suspicion that some good scenes may have been sacrificed to speed up the pacing for attention deficit disorder suffering studio execs, but this is an effective chiller.
