Films I have seen wherein the main (or supporting) character is a writer.
No Barton Fink?
@Lee I haven't seen Barton Fink. This list is purely films I've seen. Thanks for the suggestion.
Stand By Me?
How about the excellent, Naked Lunch?
@Owen Added. Thanks for the suggestion.
@Adam I haven't seen Naked Lunch as yet. Thanks for suggesting it.
Secret Window and The Dark Half are two more Stephen Kings with writers in the lead role.
The Producers?
@Steve Thanks for the suggestions. I have yet to watch either of these.

Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas?
Annie Hall or: Every Woody Allen Movie
@Kevin_Austin Added. Thanks for the suggestion.
@Mikk Allak Agreed. Deconstructing Harry and Bullets Over Broadway are just the tip of the Woody Allen writer movie iceberg.
What about Synecdoche, New York? I love Adaptation, but S, NY might be my favorite of the two. Not as fun and light, but a wonderfully imaginative piece.
@Sam Thanks for the reminder. I've added this Charlie Kaufman film.
