This is the perfect "date" movie for a married couple or any couple that's comfortable watching other people have sex. It has the traditional story arch of a rom com (couple meets, something keeps them from being together, they solve it) though it's not afraid to poke fun at itself a little bit, which is refreshing.

The movie has a touch of everything. There is poignancy and genuine emotion, along with silliness and suspension of disbelief moments. Plus, there are two hot people having steamy sex and some pretty funny moments. As with most successful movies, the supporting cast members all add something and provide humor and conflict without taking too much away from the main characters.

That being said, the movie is what it is. No matter what bells and whistles are put on it, it's the same basic rom com plot. You are never truly afraid that the couple won't end up together in the end. It's just a matter of who has to apologize to whom. It also goes out of its way to talk about how fantastic New York is, which I could definitely live without. Overall, I definitely recommend it if you like this sort of movie.
