Meaghan’s review:
William Powell is a con man who decides to make the fashion world his target after meeting pretty young designer Bette Davis. They travel to Paris along with accomplice Frank McHugh and take the fashion scene by storm. Powell's con evolves constantly: first he's trying to bootleg the Parisian designers' work; eventually, he ends up staging an elaborate show to promote ostrich feathers. It's all very silly but of course Powell is charming as usual and this is a fun way to spend an hour and a half.
