This Is 40 2012
I'm screwed, I'm only in my thirties and I already get this

Django Unchained 2012
A very good but not the best Tarantino, but I think it has to do with the fact that his style is getting familiar. The surprise is gone, but the way he films this is still as brilliant as ever. So this might be a downside to his success.
Besides, the babbling Dr. King Schultz reminded me too much at Christoph Waltz's character in Inglorious Bastards.
But I LOVE the amount of details he puts in some scenes and the work he does with his actors. They really give the best of themselves.

Take This Waltz 2012
A romcom that gets awfully close to the whole concept of the word 'romance'.
-
Magic Mike 2012
Would have been a lot better if he dropped the morale lesson.
Tatum delivers a good solid performance (one of his best) but McConaughey steals the show.Didn't need to see that much of his butt from that, or any other distance though.
-
Frankenweenie 2012
It's nice, especially the first hour but then it derails towards the final.
So not his best work but still enjoyable. -
Men in Black 3 2012
Tough one to like, tough one to dislike. The only sure thing is that Josh Brolin's performance is great.
-
The Avengers 2012
In regards of my first impression about this movie after I saw the trailer, I was pleasantly surprised that it has more depth then the average super hero movie.
Than I saw the name Joss Whedon and remembered how much fun Firefly was. Some criticism: Although very well done, the final action scene is a bit to long.

50/50 2011
First of all, watch this.
The reasons? This movie hits you like a sledgehammer because it mixes the humor so well with the drama. Few movies actually find that delicate balance, this one does.
Personally I hate it when a movie is going all the way to get you in tears. The only response they get from me is annoyance or laughter where the latter annoys the sniffing/snorting people around me.
So with a story about cancer I was expecting… -
Lost in Translation 2003
This film struck a nerve is of a delicate beauty. Scarlett Johansson as I like to see her and the (almost) ever awesome Bill Murray as the ideal counterpart.
-
The Iron Giant 1999
One of the worst promoted movies ever which made me discover this years after it's release.
