Remarkable film for the time, budget etc. Shatner plays an utter scumbag very convincingly. Very Trump-like the way he uses the fear of loss within the dipshit community to stir up hatred of the "other".
Looks beautiful. I was reminded of Lucile Hadzihalilovic, but that could have just been the kids growing into puberty/adulthood and the overall art-house nature.
The ending brought a tear to my eye, but not sure why. The score is pretty eerie when it comes in, which it doesn't often.
Royalty Hightower is captivating and in virtually every shot. having just seen Jackie yesterday with Natalie Portman in virtually every frame, the comparison was interesting.
