Recently rewatched on Bluray for the first time. I didn't watch it until I was 11 (in 2002), but I was blown away. While I noticed flaws on this rewatch, it didn't stop me from loving it the same. A brilliant example of what sci-fi should be and exactly why sci-fi is my favourite genre.
