A rather average storyline that was predictable at all times topped off with really amateur acting. Vanessa Hudgens' character being a 'trying hard to look like I'm not trying' character was really annoying. I was too old to enjoy this.

Denzel Washington's acting makes the twist completely unpredictable, even when you watch it the second time. I thought his lack of commitment to the character ruined the twist, almost as if the script writers just threw it in at the end thinking 'yeah that'll throw them! Make it a bit more interesting'. The film is a nice, slow paced film that does show post-apocalyptic struggles and the different sides it would bring out in people.Nice, but I really just cannot get it out of my head that the twist is so out of the blue. It just annoyed me.
