Films I Turned Off Without Finishing

Movies I can't say I've "seen," but at least gave at least 20 minutes to before quitting.

  • Visitor Q
  • The Disappearance of Alice Creed
  • The Blind Side
  • Life During Wartime
  • Palindromes
  • The Greatest Movie Ever Sold

  • Why the first two?

  • Visitor Q: couldn't take Miike's shock-shlock in this total lack of form (plus girlfriend was understandably uncomfortable). Then it made Slant's top 25 horrors of the decade and I'll probably have to try again in future. I'm only pro on 1 of 3 Miikes as it is (AUDITION)

Alice Creed: Not especially bad just hammy (viz. Marsan) and once FARGO element introduced I lost interest.

  • Blind Side is ridiculously cheesy but worth a watch because of Bullock's performance. It's pretty cool to see her transcend the RomCom persona she usually plays. Didn't have a problem with Greatest Movie Ever Sold. Interesting little documentary.

  • Visitor Q got really really messed up, I wish I had turned it off 20 minutes in

  • I found Morgan Spurlock insufferable, figured there was a pretty good chance he wouldn't not be on the screen for the last 45 minutes.
