Known as 'California Man' in the UK because we wouldn't get the reference, this is another slacker comedy from the 90s, in the midst of the post-Bill & Ted, post-Wayne's World slew of grunge generation comedies. Pauly Shore's nutbag livens things up against Sean Astin's straight man, and while a lot of the humour is juvenile once you pass your teens, this still holds up pretty well.
